Frostburg State University (FSU), Admissions Office, seeks applications for an exempt, full-time Director of Admissions position. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience; University System of Maryland benefits package includes annual leave, holidays, personal, and sick leave; tuition remission; health and life insurance, and retirement plans.   • Coordinate resources to improve the operational efficiency of the office;
  • Supervise staff and maintain analysis of workflow to ensure student and constituent satisfaction;
  • Develop and monitor recruitment plan, which includes data analysis and assessment, travel territories of professional staff, recruiting publications, recruiting events, and processing applications;
  • Engage alumni in the development of an Alumni Admissions Support Team to assist them in their desire to support admissions activities;
  • Implement a communication plan for prospective students, their families, and the counseling community;
  • Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will have leadership experience in an admissions office.  A solid background in student recruitment strategies and technical knowledge of CRM and analytical systems.  Must have strong communication skills and a student-oriented attitude. An ability to identify new opportunities and proactively address annual enrollment concerns.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree with at least five years of experience in a college or university admissions office. At least three years of experience at the associate director of admissions level. A record of successful outcomes in the development and achievement of enrollment goals.   Experience working with an integrated CRM and Student Information System. Strong oral and written communication skills. Commitment to working with a diverse student population.

Preferred Qualifications: Ability to speak Spanish.  Previous marketing and presentation experience. Ability to understand and process financial aid applications.
