LSU Health Shreveport is accepting applications for an open rank faculty position in our MOT (transitioning to OTD) program. Successful candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in adult occupational therapy and a doctorate (entry level OTD, PPOTD, or PhD). The program will transition to the OTD in 2022.

Position Details

 

Instructional Content
    Neurological conditions, assessments and occupation based interventions for adults (CVA, TBI, Spinal Cord Injury)

    Opportunity to teach in Neurocognition Rehabilitation concentration in PhD in Rehab Sci for qualified applicants

    Assist teaching orthopedic and assistive technology content

    Expertise in neuroscience considered a plus

Scholarship
    Pursue research agenda in area of expertise

    Mentor student research (MOT Program) and capstone projects (OTD Program)

Service
    Serve on committees as assigned

    Participate in curricular development

    Advise students

    While not required, faculty may choose to practice in faculty clinic for additional compensation
