 Student Services Manager I (Director of Student Success and Retention)

Band 6

Minimum Salary $40,759

 The Director of Student Success and Retention is responsible for developing and implementing a retention plan that specifies effective retention and success initiatives. This position will also develop and manage advising and oversee the Academic Success Center, Counseling and Disability Services Departments. This position will have significant involvement with the Travel Program, Student Life, and USC Connect. The position requires a Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 1 year related experience, or bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience. The successful candidate will also have deep experience with student success initiatives, knowledge and experience with best practices of academic advising, and the ability to communicate and collaborate well with campus stakeholders especially faculty, marketing, admissions, student success, and business offices.

 This position requires facility with data analytics and relevant student success software (Target X desired), the ability to analyze and present student success and retention data for the sake of strategic decision-making and proven skill in advising college undergraduates.  Strong organizational skills, written oral and communication skills, and customer service orientation skills are required.
