Tenure-Track, Assistant Professor of Biochemistry

The Department of Natural Sciences at Lawrence Technological University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biochemistry to start in August 2021.  Candidates must demonstrate an enthusiasm for undergraduate teaching and the ability to involve students in scholarly research at a predominantly undergraduate institution.   The successful candidate will teach courses at the freshmen through senior levels such as Biochemistry, Advanced Biochemistry, and General, Organic, and Biology, and General Chemistry.  The ability to teach sophomore-level organic chemistry is also desirable.  

Qualifications:  A PhD in Biochemistry of a closely related discipline is required and postdoctoral experience is strongly preferred.  Those who have experience using effective pedagogical tools and can enhance the department’s course-based research experiences will be given special consideration
