The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at Southeastern
Louisiana University invites applications for a full time
Instructor of Geography to begin in January 2021. The successful
candidate will be responsible for the instruction of five
undergraduate geography courses per semester, and serve on various
committees at the Departmental, College and University level.
Additionally the applicant must be committed to working with a
diverse student body in the form of advising, mentorship, serving
as a faculty representative for student organizations and the
development of a geography oriented study abroad program.
Opportunities exist for developing new courses, however preference
will be given to those with a background in the instruction of
introductory and regional geography courses in both a classroom and
