Coordinates and directs all aspects of academic related programs and
services for the Department of Chemical Engineering and its centers.

Essential Functions

Assists the Chemical Engineering Department Chair and the Associate
Chair with a variety of high-level administrative and professional program
support responsibilities. Plans, designs, develops, executes and manages
strategies and programs for the department and its centers. Coordinates
programs and services to ensure relevant guidelines, specifications,
policies and procedures are enforced and followed in the department and
its centers. Provides information to and facilitates communication between
other departmental administration, faculty, staff and students concerning
departmental and center related programs and services. Maintains
relevant databases to ensure accurate and accessible records for the
department and its centers. Prepares, reviews and edits varied
departmental and center communications through various media outlets
and plans and implements the management of resource development
activities.

Public Relations, Psychology or a relevant field.

Desired Qualifications

Desired qualifications include: experience in event planning including travel assistance and logistical support; experience in a higher education environment and coordination with multiple departments and programs in a large campus community; a working knowledge of Auburn University operating systems such as Banner, Kronos, PeopleAdmin and ApplyYourself; proficiency in Microsoft Office, graphic communications and social media platforms.
