Under general supervision, assists with all major duties of the Title IX Coordinator. Conduct and oversees the complaint resolution process (including investigations) for potential violations of campus gender discrimination, sexual violence, and sexual harassment policies and procedures. Assists with Title IX-related education and training endeavors at the University. Supervises investigations and other work assignments assigned to other Title IX Intake Investigators and University’s Police Department.

Essential Duties Summary

Conducts and oversees the complaint resolution process by adhering to Title IX regulations, related federal and state laws, and University policy pertaining to Title IX, gender discrimination, sexual violence, and sexual harassment. Monitors efforts of other Title IX investigators that receive and/or investigate complaints, including but not limited to Human Resources, Office of Judicial Affairs, the Dean of Students, and University Athletics. Receives and processes student, faculty, and staff inquiries or complaints of harassing behavior, other discriminatory behavior, and Title IX violations. Prepares and processes all complaints, conducts investigations, and prepares disposition notifications to appropriate individuals, and makes referrals to the Title IX Coordinator. Maintains knowledge of current state and federal law, regulations and trends in the field related to harassment and other discriminatory practices. Consults with other university offices, assists in development and implementation of ongoing campus-wide climate surveys to assess the university community’s overall understanding of sexual misconduct and gender-based issues and trends, and to assist in developing and delivering training and education programs about gender discrimination, sexual violence, and sexual harassment. Oversees and conducts sensitive investigations; ensures a fair, timely, and well-documented investigative process; reviews investigation reports; and exercise judgment in recommending findings regarding whether violations of non-discrimination, sexual violence, or sexual harassment policy or law have been committed. Monitors cases, data, and trends related to discrimination and sexual misconduct complaints, determinations and trainings. Prepares and disseminates reports, statistics, and assessment data for review by the Title IX Coordinator. Partners with appropriate University departments to develop campus reports and statistics as required under Title IX, Clery Act and VAWA . Communicates sensitive information in written reports and oral communication skills at a high management level. Develops and maintains tracking software. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.



Hiring Range Commensurate with experience. Education

Master’s degree in human resources, public policy, government, legal studies, or other related discipline.

Required Licensing/Certification

Valid Texas Driver’s License, Title IX, Equal Employment Opportunity and/or Affirmative Action Certification preferred.

Knowledge of:

Work Experience
