- Overseeing preparation of reports related to evaluation of Virginia Medicaid programs.
- Overseeing tasks related to qualification data collection and analysis on Support Act grant
- Conducting analysis of Medicaid claims data and survey data on Virginia Medicaid members
- Drafting policy briefs, potential figures and data visualizations
- Assistance with manuscript and grants; writing and preparation
- Assisting in development of IRB protocols to give background information regarding the significance of the review, research questions, and research process
- Development and delivery of local and National presentations
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

- Candidate for doctoral degree (completed all requirements except dissertation)
- Master’s Degree in Public Health or equivalent area
- Knowledge and experience in preparing manuscripts and academic writing
- Experience using statistical software packages, such as SAS and STATA
- Experience in analyzing Medicaid claims data
- Experience in conducting qualitative data collection and analysis
- Experience in overseeing surveys of Medicaid members
- Experience in developing applications for IRB review
- Excellent communication skills, team-based project experience, and ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment required
- Experience in working with the Virginia Department Medical Assistance Services

Preferred Qualifications

- Quantitative and qualitative research skills, academic and report writing, knowledge of Virginia Medicaid programs
