A full-time, 12-month program director/faculty position is available in the Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences, Department of Health Science at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The two doctoral programs the candidate would direct are the Doctor of Health Science (DHSc) and the Doctor of Philosophy in Health Science (PhD). The Director of Doctoral Programs must have a commitment to developing research and scholarship and have a proven track record of successful teaching and student research mentoring at the doctoral level.

Duties include all administrative tasks associated with admission, retention, and program direction for the Health Science Doctoral Programs, including but not limited to: student academic advising, dissertation process supervision, faculty evaluation, alumni relations, budget planning and monitoring, etc. The candidate’s responsibilities will include teaching in the Doctor of Health Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Health Science; mentoring and facilitating student research; maintaining an established line of scholarship; and providing service at various levels within the University, professional associations, and the community.

The position requires an earned dissertation-based doctorate degree in an area of health science, a minimum of 3 years of related administrative, teaching and research mentoring experience, experience with online/ hybrid teaching, as well as evidence of scholarship. Candidate must be a graduate of a regionally accredited institution.
