Department of Restorative Dentistry
The West Virginia University School of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full time Graduate Prosthodontics Program Director faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. The position can be either tenure-track or clinical track. Responsibilities will include pre- and post-doctoral didactic and clinical teaching in prosthodontics, scholarly activity, and faculty practice. The Department of Restorative Dentistry currently includes the disciplines of operative dentistry, prosthodontics (fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics) and dental materials.
Qualifications :
American Board of Prosthodontics certification and specialty certificate in Prosthodontics is required. Preference will be given to candidates with an MS degree in Prosthodontics. Candidates must demonstrate excellent interpersonal/communication skills and be eligible for a West Virginia dental license. Information regarding licensure in WV can be obtained at http://www.wvdentalboard.org/ . Preference will be given to candidates who have a history of documented competence in teaching, administration, and research.
West Virginia University School of Dentistry is in the historic community of Morgantown, West Virginia. Located only 80 miles south of Pittsburgh, Morgantown is easily accessible to major metropolitan areas in the East and Midwest.
The School of Dentistry is one of 14 colleges in a major, land grant research University and is part of a comprehensive Health Sciences Center, which also includes Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Allied Health, the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center, and West Virginia University Hospitals. The Health Sciences Center campus is also home of the new Blanchette Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the new Library/Learning Resource Center.
