WEST VIRGINIA – Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center West Virginia University
School of Dentistry – Assistant/Associate Professor, Department of Periodontics


The West Virginia School of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full-time, clinical or tenure track faculty position at the assistant/associate professor level in the Department of Periodontics.

Responsibilities will include didactic and clinical teaching at the pre-doctoral and post-doctoral level; participation in faculty practice; scholarly activity; and service the University, the School of Dentistry and the community. Candidates must demonstrate experience in all aspects of periodontal therapy, implant surgery, and advanced reconstructive procedures; effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; leadership skills; and a strong commitment to diversity and social justice.

Qualifications :
  • Candidates must have a D.D.S or D.M.D degree from an accredited U.S. or Canadian dental school or foreign equivalent and must be eligible for a West Virginia dental license or teaching permit. The applicant must be board certified or board eligible for the American Board of Periodontology at the time of appointment.
