The Department of Occupational Therapy, College of Public Health and Health Professions at the University of Florida, invites applications for two full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month non-tenure track Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor positions. The successful applicants will serve as faculty for the Occupational Therapy Doctorate degree program, with primary responsibilities in teaching, and secondary responsibilities in research, and service activities as assigned.

The Department of Occupational Therapy ( http://ot.phhp.ufl.edu/ ) is a top-ten ranked Department in the USA according to the 2020 U.S. News and World Report and a national leader in occupational therapy education and research. The Department offers an interprofessional U.S. Department of Education training grant for Doctor of Occupational Therapy students. The Department has active and federally funded research programs in the areas of driving rehabilitation and community mobility, learning disabilities, and aging. The Department offers outstanding academic and training programs that include a Doctor of Occupational Therapy program, a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science program, a BHS-OTD accelerated program and a post-professional certificate in Driver Rehabilitation Therapy. The Department is a co-leader in the NIH-funded K12 Rehabilitation Research Career Development consortium and is home to the Institute for Mobility, Activity and Participation.

Gainesville ( http://www.cityofgainesville.org/ and https://www.visitgainesville.com/ ) is a mid-sized vibrant college town located in North Central Florida halfway between both coasts of Florida. Gainesville is a progressive university community with art/cultural institutions, small local businesses, multiple active spiritual communities, community policing models, and a diverse school district with K-12 Magnet programs. Natural areas surround the city, offering many opportunities for outdoor recreation.

Minimum Requirements: Applicants must have a relevant doctoral degree and be licensed/license-eligible as an occupational therapist in the state of Florida.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in teaching in an occupational therapy program
