Job Description:

Designs, develops, documents and implements web-based reporting using tools such as myUFL Cognos Analytics and Tableau.

Update existing projects and develop new workflows and designs for brand new projects while optimizing for high efficiency and ease of use for end-users.

Implements full systems life cycle of new projects: designing, testing, implementing, and deployment while maintaining and supporting current software. Develop and maintain proper technical documentation for all designs, specifications, processes, workflows and solutions.

Create, manage, and maintain SQL Server databases utilizing automated jobs using SQL Server Agent and SQL Server performance tuning.

Assist in data retrieval, entry, formatting, proof-reading and fact-checking.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Associate’s degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in an appropriate area of specialization and a minimum two years of experience in business analysis, project management, designing, testing, debugging and deploying web applications and their related databases in current technologies. Experience or training in .NET, ASP, HTML, Java Script and other object oriented languages is a plus. Experience developing technical training or specification documents a plus. Experience with relational databases, PeopleSoft or other student information systems, MS Office Suite, and document imaging software preferred.

The candidate must be highly analytical, demonstrate problem-solving skills and be able to communicate clearly and effectively. The successful applicant will demonstrate an independent work initiative, excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, diplomacy and a professional demeanor. A desire to be immersed in the inner workings of the Graduate School at a major research university is required. The successful candidate should have the desire and ability to learn additional technologies as projects demand.

SKILLS: Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills for project management.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Self-starter requiring limited direct supervision who adapts easily to changing work environments and requirements. Graduate Education experience helpful.
