Description of the Department or Unit

The Department of Geography and Planning currently enrolls 100+ undergraduate majors and 25 Master’s degree students. Department resources include two GIScience labs, a shared visualization lab, and a full-time GIScience lab systems administrator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Instructional duties will include lower level undergraduate, upper level undergraduate, and graduate courses in remote sensing and GIS ; the incumbent will also have the opportunity to develop and/or teach advanced courses in their specialty.

Faculty members are expected to maintain an active program of scholarship as well as participate in service activities.

The Department of Geography and Planning encourages integration of students in research endeavors.
