Position Summary:

This newly created position will provide leadership in online undergraduate and graduate programs. The DOE will assess and enhance current online programs, oversee the virtual learning environment and the operation of the online programs, provide engaging student development initiatives, and implement a comprehensive strategy to expand online programs and increase online students. As a member of the Deans Council, the DOE will collaborate with Division Deans and faculty to develop new online degree and certificate programs, design hybrid programs that integrate online and in-person learning and design, assist in the recruitment, supervision and professional development of online teaching faculty, and oversee the day-to-day operation of online programs. The DOE will also collaborate with the Division Deans in developing a model that combines virtual learning with classroom-based instruction in response to the disruptive impact of Covid-19. Reporting to the Provost, this role should focus on ensuring future growth and strategic response to an ever-increasing demand for the online programs and services. The DOE will work closely with the Dean of Enrollment Management and the Director of Admissions for Online Programs to help market programs and recruit online students.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.; Ed.D.; or Professional Doctorate) is preferred, Master’s degree in related field is required
Five + years of administrative and/or operational experience in academic leadership roles
Thorough experience in teaching and leading within an online educational environment
Ability to collect and compile data utilizing best practices of quantitative and qualitative approaches
Demonstrated ability to assess, design and implement online programs at the undergraduate and graduate level.
Leadership style that works collaboratively with diverse population of staff, faculty and students
Support the College’s mission and vision, as well as accreditation standards and commitment to academic integrity
