Pay Range: $50,627 per year or higher depending on education and experience

Full/Part Time: Full Time

Position Summary:
The associate director for development for the College of Engineering is responsible for engaging alumni and friends and building meaningful relationships that lead to investment in college priorities. He/she manages a portfolio of potential donors as well as other college/unit efforts including annual giving efforts and fundraising for Engineering EXPO. He/she is a key member of the college fundraising team and works collaboratively to achieve fundraising goals for the College of Engineering.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years full-time professional experience in fundraising or related areas
  • Experience working in an environment dependent on developing and maintaining relationships


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience, education or working knowledge of the college’s disciplines
  • Experience with volunteer boards and committees
  • Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and public relations experience
  • Experience working with corporations on partnerships or sponsorships
  • Demonstrated excellent writing and communication skills
  • Possess effective organizational skills
  • Familiarity with database computer systems and applications, preferably with customer relationship management systems
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of fundraising, preferably in higher education


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
  • Willingness to travel and work odd hours and weekends
