The Faculty of Education (http://www.fed.cuhk.edu.hk/) is an international center for professional training and research in Education. The Faculty is ranked 34th internationally in the subject ranking in Education in 2020 Times Higher Education.
   
The Department of Educational Psychology under the Faculty of Education (http://www.fed.cuhk.edu.hk/eps/) now invites applications for the post of Assistant Professor in Developmental Psychology/ Early Childhood Psychology.
   
Applicants should have:
i.    Excellent academic qualifications including a doctorate degree in developmental psychology, early childhood psychology, or related discipline;
ii.    A solid research background in areas that will contribute or add to the existing strengths of the Department;
iii.    A track record of programmatic research and publications as well as potential for research grant writing; and
iv.    Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship.

The appointee will (a) develop and teach courses at postgraduate and undergraduate levels; (b) supervise postgraduate students; (c) bid for external competitive grants; and (d) assist in administrative matters.

Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing August 2021, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later. Salary will be highly competitive, and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
