The Associate / Dean of Students is a hands-on position primarily responsible for managing student life and development across all areas of the Hybrid Learning Sustainable Educational Business Unit (SEBU). Creates integrated quality of life programming for all students that promotes personal growth and academic success. Works with student success staff to improve rates of student retention, persistence, and graduation, and collaborates with student success staff in student programming. Promotes a campus culture, whether remote or in-person, that supports diversity, respect of differences, personal responsibility, integrity, healthy lifestyles, and engagement with the campus community. Fosters a collaborative and supportive relationship among students, staff, and faculty. Serves as the principal coordinator for Unity College programs, services, policies, and procedures relating to maintaining compliance with Title IX, as well as the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Act, Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to persons with disabilities. This position will be a "live-in" position promoting community and responsibility in residential settings and requires direct student engagement.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a related field and 3-5 years of progressive responsibility in Student Affairs and higher education administration OR bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of related experience; strong knowledge of applicable federal regulations and experience with Title IX; ability to communicate effectively, present information, and respond to questions from faculty, staff, students, parents, and the general public; ability to perform duties in a pleasant, discreet, and professional manner; proficiency in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and email programs; valid driver's license with a good driving record.

PREFERRED: experience managing residential life and/or student activities at a residential liberal arts college; and/or experience in supporting first year adjustment and orientation programs.
