The Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the University Of Maryland School Of Medicine seeks a full-time, faculty member to expand our team of Community Interventional Radiology Specialists at the UM Capital Regional Health (CRH) in Largo, MD and UM Charles Regional Medical Center (CRMC.) in LaPlata, MD.

The successful candidate will become a member of our department and its IR division with expectations of clinical effort and programmatic developments at our community sites while collaborating and working toward the goals and vision of the department and its IR division.

This position is for a board certified / board eligible, IR fellowship/residency-trained Radiologist with strong interests in Community Interventional Radiology operations. Our clinical network is linked to the University of Maryland Medical Center, the heart of the University of Maryland Medical System’s Baltimore campus.

The successful candidate is expected to develop IR program at the UM Capital Regional Health and its new flagship hospital in Largo, MD and assisting our needs at the UM CRMC. The position is expected to take IR calls at the UM Capital Medical Center.

The UM Capital Regional Health and its new hospital in Largo, MD is a new, state-of-the art health care facility set to open in June, 2021. The new hospital will feature a new state-of-the art IR suite. With its tertiary care services, including level 2 trauma, heart & vascular center, medical subspecialty services and upcoming cancer center, the UM Capital Regional Medical Center will be the University of Maryland Medical System’s flagship tertiary care hospital in the Prince George’s county.

The potential start date is negotiable, however, graduating fellows/residents that can start in July 2021 will also be considered. Work schedule will have a strong focus on sustainability and a favorable work/life balance. Candidates should have keen interests and skill sets in IR programmatic development in the community setting and be comfortable with the broad scope of general diagnostic radiology (plain film, CT, ultrasound, and MRI). There are no nuclear medicine or mammography requirements.
