A post-doctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Santiago Lima in the VCU Department of Biology. The Lima lab is investigating the role that alterations in sphingolipid metabolism play in cancer, and a postdoctoral associate is being recruited to conduct research related to this area.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should have a PhD in a biological field and less than 3 years of post-doctoral experience, along with expertise in cell culture, molecular biology, and related methods

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: in vitro transformation models, lentiviral delivery techniques, CRISPR, invasion, migration, and/or soft agar assays, immunofluorescence.
