The Graduate and Research IT (GRIT) team at the University of Central Florida’s Office of Research in Orlando, FL is seeking a Systems Architect to serve as a technical subject matter expert that analyzes researcher needs and designs, architects and implements applications and systems to provide services and tools to UCF’s research community. This researcher-facing role designs, implements, and manages virtual systems to provide resources for computing, storage, and scientific software to accelerate the research mission of the institution.
Position requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field and four years of work experience in the following: working as a software systems architect; and programming experience in developing database-driven applications using .NET, HTML, CSS, AJAX, JQuery, JavaScript, ColdFusion, MS SQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS. Of the four years of required experience at least two years must have involved programming research administration systems. AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification required.
Position requires system maintenance tasks be performed after work hours. Position may support systems that process sensitive institutional data defined per university policy.
