The Cross-disciplinary Program in Neuroscience and the Department of Biology at St. Mary’s College of Maryland in Historic St. Mary’s City jointly invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology (Neurobiologist) position beginning August 2021. Teaching responsibilities include participating in core courses in the neurosciences and biology programs as needed: Neurobiology, Introduction to the Neurosciences, Special Topics in Neuroscience, Biostatistics, Principles of Biology, and electives in the candidate’s area of specialization. Because both teaching and research are highly valued, we seek candidates with a commitment to excellence in teaching as well as an active research program that can involve undergraduates. Ph.D. required; postdoctoral training and/or teaching experience preferred. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
