ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

INSTRUCTION & PROGRAM SUPPORT

Teach WD curriculum topics including, but not limited to, Customer Service, Leadership, Workforce Collaboration, specific industry software, platforms, and methodologies, etc. Assists, as appropriate, in the maintenance of instructional materials and facilities. Assists, as appropriate, in the maintenance of course descriptions, course outlines, and syllabi.

CUSTOMER SERVICE & CLASSROOM SUPPORT

Employs appropriate assessment techniques to measure student performance in achieving course goals and objectives. Communicates progress in the course to students in a timely manner. Determines and submits students' grades in accordance with established college policies and procedures. Keeps accurate and appropriate records in accordance with the Faculty Handbook and departmental policies. Assists in the identification of students with academic or other needs, and responds by utilizing and appropriate resource. Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works as required in order to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively participates in staff development workshops which contribute to personal and professional growth. Attends all required department meetings and trainings. Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance is required.

Usual Physical Requirements:

While performing duties of this job, the employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into computer. The employee regularly stands and walks for extended periods of time, and occasionally sits. Employee converses verbally with others in person and by telephone. Employee occasionally reaches with hands or arms, climbs or balances and stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls. Vision demands include close, relatively detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen. Employee occasionally lifts or exerts force of up to 10 pounds when moving files, boxes and other materials.

Working Conditions:

Virtual instruction and/or typical office/academic environment. Regular exposure to moderate noise typical to business offices.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of: mastery level of adult learning theory; delivering adult instruction; communication and computer; organizing and coordinating training programs.

Skilled in: communication, verbal, non-verbal and written: ensures understanding, adjusting to audience; maintaining the audience's attention; present in logical manner and summarize information to audience; defining clear goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate of Applied Sciences degree with at least one year of experience; State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
