Director of Psychological Services Clinic and Professor of Practice

The University of South Dakota, Psychology Department invites applications for the Director of Psychological Services Clinic and Professor of Practice within its APA-accredited Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology to begin January 1, 2021. The University seeks to attract an active, culturally and academically diverse faculty skilled in the scholarship of teaching and the discovery, application, and integration of knowledge. The Clinical Psychology Program values candidates whose experience, teaching, and mentoring will engage issues of diversity and inclusion. The program houses the Disaster Mental Health Institute, which delivers an undergraduate minor, a graduate track within Clinical Psychology, and a graduate certificate in Disaster Mental Health Response. The Program seeks candidates who will serve as Director the Psychological Services Clinic, teach graduate and undergraduate classes both face-to-face and online, supervise clinical training, and assist the director of clinical training in supervising and developing external clinical placement activities. Applicants should show potential for excellence in clinical supervision, outstanding classroom teaching and student mentoring, and commitment to principles of inclusive excellence. All areas of research expertise will be considered, but scholarly interest in rural mental health, disaster psychology, telehealth services and/or the provision of services across a wide diversity of people and communities is preferred. Qualifications include: Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited clinical psychology program, completion of an APA-accredited internship, and readiness for licensure (post-doctoral supervision may be provided). Experience working with members of marginalized groups is preferred. Salary/Compensation: This is an 11-month position, salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
