West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Cardiologist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The primary location will be in Morgantown, WV.

Successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at other worksites, including but not necessarily limited to, West Virginia University Hospitals, Inc., West Virginia University Medical Corporation doing business as “University Health Associates,” [etc.] located in West Virginia, and as such, travel is anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these other worksites.

The successful candidate will join our eight-member Division of Pediatric Cardiology, and will support our patient population on the Children's Hospital campus and throughout the state through our robust pediatric cardiology outreach program that includes outreach clinics, telemedicine clinics and outreach diagnostic testing. We currently have specialists in the areas of general cardiology, advanced imaging, interventional catheterization, adult congenital heart disease, and preventive cardiology.

Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Pediatric Electrophysiology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows..
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a West Virginia medical license. Successful candidate must have completed a pediatric residency program, as well as a Pediatric Electrophysiology fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in Pediatric Cardiology. Candidates who are not board certified / board eligible and who possess extraordinary ability and demonstrated track record may be considered at the discretion of the Chief Medical Officer. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor ranks, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required. A rank of Professor also requires substantial evidence of a national or international reputation in your clinical specialty. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
