The Department of Biomedical Sciences at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) is seeking applications for a full-time tenure track, Assistant Professor, to contribute to the instructional offerings in human gross anatomy. An academic qualification of Ph.D. or equivalent is required. This position requires teaching in gross anatomy lectures and laboratories, preparation of prosections, and contributions to other instructional activities at the medical school. Teaching formats at CMSRU include large-group lecturing, small-group active learning, and cadaveric dissection laboratory sessions. Experience with clinical case-based, team-based, and self-directed active learning pedagogy is required.

The successful candidate will assess, review and evaluate student educational activities and progress; serve and support functional activities of the university and departmental committees; develop a sustainable program of independent research; guide, lead and mentor students in research projects; and serve on departmental and university committees.

Preference will be given to candidates with documented experience in human anatomy/embryology instruction with teaching experience at the graduate and/or medical school level and documented evidence of scholarship. Prior medical school teaching experience is desired.
