The Department of World Languages and Cultures in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a term faculty appointment for Fall 2020. Rank will be dependent upon experience and stature in the field. The appointment is a one semester term position and will commence on August 24, 2020.

Applicants should minimally hold an MA in Russian or a related field, with PhD preferred. All applicants must have either native or near native fluency in both English and Russian. The position will require the incumbent to teach three courses per semester in Russian language. All faculty are expected to hold office hours and participate in School and University activities and service.
