Job Description Summary

The Department of Psychological Sciences at Auburn University invites applications for two tenure-track positions as an Assistant Professor beginning fall semester, August 16, 2021.

Candidates will contribute to the education and training of undergraduate and graduate students, including teaching courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Candidates are expected to maintain a strong research program, with potential for extramural funding.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates should have an independent research program in clinical psychology, broadly defined; we seek areas of interest that complement or bridge existing strengths with the department’s existing faculty.

A strong record of publications and a high potential for external funding is required. Candidates with the potential to strengthen our commitment to diversity and inclusion are highly desirable.

Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA -accredited program and be license eligible in Alabama. ABD candidates will be considered but must have a Ph.D. by start date or offer will be withdrawn.

Auburn University’s clinical program adheres to a scientist-practitioner training model and offers state-of-the-art resources for clinical research, including excellent graduate students, ample laboratory space and access to the Auburn University MRI Research Center, the Auburn University Psychological Services Center, and other facilities.
