The Student Account Representative is part of an outstanding team, responsible for providing best in class service to students and parents as well as maintaining the unit’s excellent financial controls. This role is critical to the University as it acts as the primary point of contact to students and parents concerning student accounts billing. The Account rep, on average, will provide service to between 1,000 – 1,500 students/parents per month via phone calls, in person student traffic and email correspondence. The Representative position requires attention to detail in a fast paced, ever-changing environment and will provide service to students and parents by taking incoming phone calls, enrolling in the installment plan, processing refunds, and responding to individual emails for both traditional and online students. In addition to monitoring and taking action on accounts of current students that may be past due, the student account rep will also work with other University departments such as Financial Aid and the Registrar’s Office.


• An Associates Degree is preferred.

• Excellent customer service skills are required.

• Collection and or banking experience preferred.

Job Specific Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

• Independent decision making is required with good business judgment and analysis of student accounts.


• Service students and parents by taking incoming phone calls, enrolling in the installment plan, processing refunds, and responding to individual emails

• Processes refunds, account adjustments and other account activity

• Meet with students and parents in the office to review account and/or set up payment plans

• Follow up on accounts during pending cancellation process and past due account review process
