This is a one year granted funded position

This position is based in Syracuse, NY and will assist the Program Manager with conducting relationship management, recruitment, referral, program coordination, and execution of the program for the WISE WBC . The coordinator will also act as an advisor to clients and members of the public requesting COVID -19 related assistance. The position closely coordinates with the Program Manager, Administrative Specialist, external partners, and reports to the Program Manager, COVID -19. The WISE WBC is a program of the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, and is funded, in part, by the US Small Business Administration.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.

Minimum three years of experience in an administrative position in business, government agency or at a not-for-profit.

Job Specific Qualifications

Experience working with small businesses preferred.

Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently in a complex environment, managing multiple projects.

Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Knowledge and understanding of business development.

Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills.

Outstanding customer service and client skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Experience with CRMs and data entry, a plus.

Ideal candidates are proactive self-starters motivated to learn and solve problems as needed.

Familiarity with Learning Management Systems ( LMS ) such as SkillSoft, Blackboard, Adobe Captivate, or Moodle a plus.

Familiarity with small business programs and the Syracuse community preferred.

Responsibilities

Advise clients on COVID -19 business matters.

Assess and respond to COVID -19 related business inquiries from clients and the community. Inquiries will come in through phone, email, social media and in person.

Schedule appointments, as necessary, to address COVID -19 business related inquiries.

Facilitate the intake assessment and registration process for all COVID -19 service applicants.

Manage the tracking and flow of progress of COVID -19 service clients to appropriate resources and counselors, including scheduling meetings, maintaining accurate contact information, and gathering feedback in regards to ensuring the support of clients and resolution to their needs.

Assist with the planning and implementation of classes and sessions for small business owners and local entrepreneurs in a variety of topics related COVID -19 impact and assistance.

Use tools like Eventbrite, social media, WebEx, CRM, LMS, and others as needed to plan and implement programming.

Research and stay abreast of all new COVID -19 legislation, funding opportunities, and resources for COVID -19 affected businesses.

Create and deploy marketing emails and social content supportive of and consistent with the WISE WBC brand voice and strategy.

Interpret and be able to communicate the ever-changing information and resources around COVID -19 for business owners.
