Objective

Provides assistance to EMS Students in Practical Skills Performance resulting in entry level competency.

Required Quals Summary

1. Three (3) years non-teaching experience as an EMS provider
2. Current Paramedic Texas Department of State Health Services Certification/License and/or NREMT Paramedic certification.
3. Ability to communicate effectively using written, oral, and electronic methods.

Position Details

Principal Accountabilities

Principal Accountabilities

1) Assist with lab practical and clinical evaluations utilizing best practices for teaching and/or carrying the responsibilities for the subject matter.
2)Assist students to achieve their optimal potential through positive motivation, encouragement, and the
simulation of critical thinking skills in a courteous and professional manner.
3)Assist with NREMT psychomotor skills evaluation.
4)Complete assigned training by Blinn College by the scheduled deadline.
5)Work at least 4 hours per month when courses are being held.
6)Maintain competence in the academic area and be an active member of a professional organization.

1. Associate Degree – Emergency Medical Services or Bachelor’s degree in related field
2. Certified EMS Instructor; or eligible within 60 days of hire
3. Current certifications in CPR, ACLS, & PALS .
