Full-time, Tenure-track, Assistant Professor in Finance, Starting fall semester 2021.
Drake University, a private comprehensive university dedicated to quality teaching, seeks applications for a full-time (9-month appointment) tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance position. Primary teaching will be in the area of Corporate Finance with preference given to candidates who can teach Valuation and/or FinTech at undergraduate and graduate level. Normal teaching load is three courses (nine credit hours) per semester. The candidate will also be expected to participate in scholarship leading to publication in quality peer-reviewed journals, professional and program development, advising, outcomes assessment, and service activities for the university, college, and profession.
A PhD in Finance or a closely related field from an AACSB institution at time of appointment is preferred, but ABD candidates close to completion will be considered with a requirement of degree completion within one year of appointment. Applicants are required to be qualified according to AACSB standards.
Salary is competitive with peer AACSB schools and dependent on qualifications and experience.

In addition, the Finance Program is a member of the CFA Institute's University Affiliation Program that incorporates a significant portion of the CFA Candidate Body of Knowledge. The CBPA’s graduate program offers four degrees to over 500 graduate students: Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Public Administration (MPA), Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA), and Master of Accounting (MAcc).
