Post-doctoral Fellowships – Microbiology & Immunology

We are recruiting postdoctoral researchers to investigate the cell biology of infection in coronaviruses and enteroviruses. The laboratory uses molecular genetics, advanced microscopy techniques, cell biology, and biochemistry to understand how these viruses use the host autophagy pathway to rearrange the cell and promote virus replication and release.

Positions are available immediately. Individuals who are interested should submit a detailed CV, a brief statement of interests and skills, the names of three references, and a short description of their doctoral training and future research goals to William Jackson, PhD, Department of Microbiology and Immunology, University of Maryland School of Medicine, Email: wjackson@som.umaryland.edu

Qualifications

We are looking for an independent and thoughtful individual with less than 2 years' post-doctoral experience, with a PhD in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a closely related area. The Fellow will be expected to attack difficult problems in biology and work independently to find solutions.
