Assistant Professor of Public Administration

School of Government and International Affairs

 

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Public Administration faculty position in the School of Government and International Affairs.

 

Position Qualifications - Responsibilities: Primary teaching responsibilities include graduate courses in the core curriculum of our NASPAA-accredited Master of Public Administration (MPA) program. Candidates will be expected to teach courses in budgeting, financial management, state and local government, urban and regional planning, and other areas open to the interests and preparation of the applicant. Commitment to excellence in teaching complemented by strong scholarship and engagement in service, program management, curriculum design, student learning outcome assessment, and working in a diverse community is expected. The successful applicant will have documented evidence of teaching excellence and will maintain a productive research program that can successfully compete for external funding. Strong scholarship, along with a commitment to excellence in teaching and engagement, is expected of all faculty members in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at KSU. Faculty in the School teach in a variety of modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online.

 

Desired qualifications: Ability to teach courses in systems administration or information security is a plus.

 

Required Education – Experience (minimum qualifications): Qualifications include PhD in public administration, public policy, political science or related discipline with demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and scholarship.
