A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Division of Cellular and Molecular Therapy in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine. The work is focused on the development of next generation of AAV vectors for their potential use in human gene therapy. The project+ will involve the use of state-of-the art molecular biology, cell culture, and mouse models.

A highly motivated individual is being sought who is a self-starter, has excellent interpersonal skills, proactive attitude, attention to detail, and good work-ethic. This individual must be dependable, and able to work both independently as well as a team-player.

A strong candidate will have:
  • A PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline, or MD or MD/PhD and relevant experience
  • Prior experience in molecular biology, cell culture, and animal studies
  • Proven ability to present and publish research data
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
Preference will be given to individuals with previous research experience with AAV.

Minimum: Ph.D., or M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. in the appropriate area of specialization.

Preferred: Prior experience with AAV vectors.
