President Michael Crow and Arizona State University invite applications and nominations for the position of Executive Vice President and “Chief Executive Officer,” ASU Knowledge Enterprise.
The Opportunity
The Executive Vice President and “Chief Executive Officer,” ASU Knowledge Enterprise will have the unique opportunity to envision, develop, and expand the future of research, innovation and entrepreneurship at ASU, one of the nation’s top public universities and ranked #1 in Innovation by U.S. News & World Report.
The ASU Knowledge Enterprise advances research, innovation, strategic partnerships, entrepreneurship, and international development at Arizona State University. The Knowledge Enterprise is a new model for the 21st century global research university — one that takes a transdisciplinary, solutions-focused, and entrepreneurial approach in all of its activities.
Reporting to President Michael Crow, the Executive Vice President and “Chief Executive Officer” provides leadership and direction for ASU’s research, innovation, and entrepreneurial enterprise in alignment with the University’s mission, goals, and strategic plan. The Executive Vice President and “Chief Executive Officer” will serve as an agent of transformation as ASU seeks to significantly expand its research enterprise, enhance scholarly and creative endeavors across the University, bring research to practice and convert discoveries, and foster economic development in the region and beyond.
Under the visionary leadership of President Crow, ASU has developed a new model for the American public research university, creating an institution committed to excellence, access, and impact. ASU has developed numerous new programs and units that defy and bridge disciplinary boundaries to enable the exploration and discovery of new knowledge, while developing practical solutions to serve Arizona and the world at large.
