Position Summary:

The Clinical Trials Budget & Contract Analyst is responsible for developing and negotiating budgets, as well as coordinating execution of clinical trial agreements, for industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical research studies conducted by our research teams. This position serves as a liaison for budget and contract interactions between the various clinical research teams within UWCCC and with other campus entities, including UW Health, other collaborating departments, and the office of Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP). This position also involves regular communication with external parties, such as collaborating institutions, pharmaceutical sponsors, and contract research organizations (CROs).

This position has the potential be covered under a long term telecommuting agreement for someone to work full time remotely.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in finance, business administration, healthcare or other related field.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

- Three (3) years of experience drafting and negotiating clinical trial budgets is required; five (5) years is preferred.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations relating to clinical trials and clinical trials finance (including billing compliance) required.
- Experience with clinical trials management software (CTMS) required; experience with OnCore is preferred.
- Experience with both industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated trials is preferred.
- Previous successful experience with remote work is a plus.

Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant work experience. A minimum of 7 years' experience is required for appointment at the senior level.

The UWCCC clinical research program is organized into Disease Oriented Teams (DOTs), which consist of faculty and clinically-focused research staff. Several non-clinical research functions, such as regulatory and finance, are performed by centralized teams that work across DOTs. The Contract & Budget Analyst position will sit within the Clinical Research Finance Office, and reports to the CRFO Manager and then to the UWCCC Assistant Director for Finance.
