The Department of Literature in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty to teach WRT 100 – College Writing in the 2020 fall semester.
Completion of WRT-100 College Writing and WRT-101 College Writing Seminar fulfills the university College Writing and Writing Proficiency Requirement. The class will have up to 19 students enrolled. Fall semester sections will meet online for 75 minutes on Tuesdays and Fridaysor Mondays and Thursdays. Classes begin August 24 and end December 4, 2020.
Applicants should hold an MA in English or Rhetoric and Composition, MFA in Creative Writing or other terminal degree and a demonstrated capacity for teaching. Applicants must meet requirements to receive and maintain an adjunct teaching appointment at American University.
