The University of South Alabama Department of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) invites applications for a non-tenure track, twelve-month, Instructor of EMS. Candidates for this position will be expected to advise students and teach a variety of courses, including paramedic, ACLS, PALS and BLS.

Qualifications: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution (Master’s Degree preferred), current State of Alabama paramedic license, National Registry paramedic certification, a minimum of three years of paramedic work experience, and at least one year of experience as an EMS instructor. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree will be required to obtain a Master’s degree in a related discipline from a regionally accredited institution within four years of hire date.  Candidates must also have instructor certifications in American Heart Association ACLS, PALS and BLS. Position will start August 15, 2020.
