Position Summary

The Department of Learning and Instruction in the Graduate School of Education at the University at Buffalo invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar to join the Open Education Research Lab directed by Sam Abramovich. The postdoctoral research scholar will work on projects funded by SUNY to explore the Learning Sciences and its relationship to Open Education. Ideal candidates will have deep expertise in the specific field of the Learning Sciences, excellent research writing skills, data analytics, data management, and advanced qualitative analytics. The position involves working remotely but in close collaboration with the Director and other department Learning Science faculty. The postdoc will be encouraged to develop advanced technical skills, strengthen their research portfolio via peer-reviewed publications, gain interdisciplinary experience by working with a diverse team, and gain expertise in co-authoring grant proposals.
The position is full-time, fiscal-year (12-month), benefits-eligible appointment with no tenure implications. Anticipated start date is October 1, 2020.

Minimum Qualifications

Have a Ph.D. in the Learning Sciences or in a closely related field within the past four years.

Preferred Qualifications

(1) a cover letter stating your research interests and how they relate to the learning sciences
(2) a curriculum vitae
(3) a research writing sample
(4) a letter of recommendation from a supervisor in your PhD program.
