Description

Position Description

The department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Washington is seeking up to two full-time postdoctoral scholars with research interests in atmospheric chemistry modeling. The work will be supervised by Professor Lyatt Jaeglé. The successful candidate(s) will work on one of the following two projects: 1) winter air pollution over the United States, focusing on pollutant emissions, wintertime oxidants, and the seasonal response of PM2.5 and O3 to past and future changes in emissions, 2) atmospheric chemistry in polar regions with emphasis on sources of aerosols from blowing snow, halogen chemistry, and surface ozone depletion events.

Each position is a 12-month appointment, renewable depending on funding and performance. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The positions will remain open until filled.

Postdoctoral scholars are represented by UAW 4121 and are subject to the collective bargaining agreement, unless agreed exclusion criteria apply. For more information, please visit the University of Washington Labor Relations website.
