Job Responsibilities:
The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is accepting applications for an Athletics Academic Coach in the Student Success Center. The Athletics Academic Coach would work with members of athletics team and conduct weekly meetings with all freshman and high-risk student athletes. The Athletics Academic Coach will provide assistance in organization, time management and scheduling. In addition, the Athletics Academic Coach will work with other members of the Student Success Center staff to receive proper CRLA (College Reading & Learning Association) training.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Must be able to work both day and evening hours. Must be able to communicate effectively and establish positive rapport with students, Student Success Center staff and the Director of Athletics Academic Advising. Excellent organizational skills and record keeping skills are also required. Must be able to abide by NCAA rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Athletics Academic advising and knowledge of NCAA progress towards degree and eligibility a plus.
