Luther B. Sullivan Visiting Artist in Time Based Media and Interdisciplinary Art Practices

Position Details

Time-Based Media and Interdisciplinary Art Practices Visiting Artist. Two-year appointment, non-renewable. Start July 1, 2021. MFA or equivalent required. The Luther Gregg Sullivan Visiting Artist is expected to be an emerging artist i.e., “early in career,” prepared to teach one course per semester in time-based media and interdisciplinary art practices. Local artistic production (a studio provided) and residency are required. Applicants should have a broad knowledge of art history, contemporary theoretical concerns, and competence in a wide range of digital and electronic processes. Knowledge of and experience with 2D graphics, 3D animation, digital video, and multiple computer platforms expected. Teaching experience at college level and exhibition record preferred.

MFA or equivalent required.

(4) Statement of current research.

Documentation of teaching experience, including (5) teaching statement and (6) course syllabi.

You will also be asked to provide the email addresses of three referees from whom we may obtain confidential letters of recommendation (please double-check the accuracy of the email addresses of the referees you name to insure that you have the most up-to-date email addresses for each one).

After you have submitted all of the required documents, you will see a confirmation number. At that point, each of your referees whose email address you have provided will receive an automatically-generated email requesting that he or she submit a letter of reference for you.
