The Department of Psychology in the College of Humanities and Sciences at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting an adjunct faculty member (non-tenure track) to teach PSYC 694 Clinical Practicum for the 2021 spring semester. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU is required.

Position duties include:
•Supervision of a team of doctoral students in the child/adolescent concentration of the
Clinical Psychology program
•1-hour individual supervision per week
•1.5 hours of group supervision per week
•Timely review of notes, reports, and video tapes
•Effective communication with the clinic director and other clinical faculty
•Grade assignments and exams in a timely manner based on instructions/rubric
provided.
•Respond to student inquiries within 48 hours.
•Submit final grades according to College/Department policy.

Required Qualifications

Minimum qualifications for the position include a PhD from an APA -accredited Clinical Psychology program; licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia; and a successful record of providing therapy and conducting assessments with children and their families and supervising doctoral students in the provision of mental health services.
