CNC Coordinator/Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cybersecurity Community

Overview
Overview Employment Status: 30-40 hours a week, temporary "non-exempt" benefited position through June 30, 2021 (with the possibility of a one-year renewable appointment based on availability of work, availability of funds and satisfactory job performance).
Salary: $18.00-$26.00 per hour
Work Schedule: TBD Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Incumbent must be able to participate in remote or on-campus work depending on the directives from the CSUSB campus.
First Review Deadline: The initial review of applications will begin on August 13, 2020.
Typical Activities
Typical duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Liaison with the Center for Academic Excellence (CAE-C) Program Office, CAE National Centers and Regional Hubs, and the CAE in Cybersecurity Community to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, and new initiatives; travel as needed.
- Review reports, records, and other documents, per assigned area, for clarity, completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and issuing agency.
- Collect and evaluate the information for quarterly reports; ensure that regulations and guidelines for reports are met.
- Prepare charts, reports, instruction manuals, audio-visual material for the purpose of mentoring other CAE members.
- Works with the regional coordinator to facilitate workshops, online and in-person meetings, and other events as needed.
- Conducts or assists with training sessions/workshops.
- Accepts, audits, reviews, secures and maintains the CAE Community files.
- Prepare and assist in the dissemination of material for publications, translation, typesetting
- Maintain and manually and/or electronically updates a variety of data for a specific assignment.
- Resolves technical problems to improve procedural methods, equipment performance, and quality of the product for specific areas assigned.
- Assist and participate in special research, studies, surveys, and investigations; assist and participate in the compilation, tabulation, and analysis of information and data.
- Attend divisional and departmental staff meetings; prepare reports of suggestions and comments of observations regarding the various aspects of the department and program.
- Assist and participate in the preparation of briefs, reports, evaluations, specifications, and plans.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent AND equivalent to three (3) years of experience in general office administrative and clerical work
- Applicants must have experience using standard office software programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
- Experience working directly with students
- Experience maintaining records and documentation
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft or a similar platform
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities is essential.
- Ability to review documents for accuracy, completeness, validity, and adherence to guidelines.
- The ability to read and interpret contracts is essential.
- Applicants must have the ability to accurately maintain records and files.
- Applicants must have strong organizational skills, be very detail-oriented, along with the ability to follow directions, take initiative, be flexible, have the ability to multi-task, and independently make decisions on a day-to-day basis.
- Applicants must have demonstrated the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Applicants must have the ability to draft and compose correspondence.
- Must be able to work in a diverse team environment and possess excellent customer service skills.
