Sanford Research is seeking to identify a leader to establish a Center for Healthcare Delivery Sciences that will perform cutting-edge research in areas including healthcare economics, healthcare delivery, health services research, access and intervention, implementation science, epidemiology, rural health, health disparities, and prevention science. Sanford Research is a non-profit research institute that is part of Sanford Health, one of the largest healthcare organizations in the country, dedicated to the integrated delivery of healthcare, genomic medicine, senior care and services, affordable health insurance and research. With a team of more than 250 researchers, Sanford Research (https://research.sanfordhealth.org) supports basic, translational and clinical research in diverse areas including: Pediatrics and Rare Diseases, Cancer Biology & Immunotherapies, Cellular Therapies & Stem Cell Biology, Behavioral Sciences, Diabetes, Genetics & Genomics, Enabling Technologies, and Environmental Influences on Health and Disease.

 

We seek an outstanding scientist with an active and established research program and expertise in the healthcare delivery sciences. The candidate will be expected to recruit relevant faculty to establish a Center for Healthcare Delivery Sciences that will integrate within the existing culture and infrastructure of Sanford Research. Candidates will be expected to maintain an independent research program, obtain extramural funding, recruit and mentor faculty, and serve in a leadership role within Sanford Research. A competitive compensation, benefits and startup package will be tailored to the candidate’s qualifications. The candidate will become faculty at the rank of Scientist within Sanford Research in Sioux Falls, SD, with commensurate rank of Professor at the Sanford School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota.

 

Qualifications

Applicants should hold a PhD, MD, DO, or DrPH degree and complement the existing strengths and interdisciplinary and collaborative nature of Sanford Research. The ideal candidate will have a national and international reputation in their field and a minimum of 10 years of independent research experience with both historical and current federal funding of research projects as a Principal Investigator.
