University Housing at Coastal Carolina University seeks dynamic individuals for the position of Associate Director for Housing Operations reporting to the Director of Housing Operations. The Associate Director for Housing Operations will be responsible for overseeing the management of Housing Operations including facilities, personnel, inventory, projects, operating procedures, annual summer facilities renewal, and service excellence.
Duties include, but are not limited to: staff selection, supervision, training, and assessment, including direct supervision of the Assistant Director for Housing Facilities, Maintenance Superintendent, and Warehouse Managers; oversee multifaceted, complex projects in collaboration with various stakeholders including planning, design, and implementation of renovation and construction projects; manage Housing purchasing, inventory control, and contractual processes including account reconciliation, approvals, budgeting, asset management, and solicitations; oversee development, review, and evaluation of policies, agreements, procedures, programs, plans, performance standards, rules, regulations, job functions, and manuals including emergency preparedness plans and participation in the Emergency Operations Center; perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Housing Operations.
Requirements: A master’s degree, experience in student services programs, and a valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record is required. At least three (3) years of relevant experience with facilities management, accounting, business administration, information systems in a university housing setting, Datatel, PeopleAdmin, Maxient, CBord, KeyTrak, StarRez, SchoolDude, Microsoft Office 365, and customer service is preferred. A successful candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
The Associate Director for Housing Operations (ADHO) will work in a typical office environment and exercise supervision in varied environments across campus. The ADHO will also participate in events and initiatives within the Division of Auxiliary Enterprises on behalf of University Housing in support of the University’s academic mission, which may include participation in night and weekend programs and occasional travel. The DHO will supervise staff on a schedule typical of trades employees (i.e. 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) as well as traditional business hours. ADHO may be required to work beyond the typical office environment schedule to supervise and support staff. This position is considered “essential personnel” and required to participate in campus-wide emergencies such as weather and structural emergencies.
Compensation includes a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
