The postdoctoral associate position will specialize in data science projects involving deep learning, graph and network modeling, and/or geospatial analyses. This individual will use existing, pre-processed, validated, and well documented perioperative data models developed by the lab over the past 5 years. While there will be an emphasis on primary project management, the individual will also support clinical and basic science students during summer projects. There will be significant opportunities to collaborate with labs across several Colleges on campus including the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering, Warrington College of Business, and College of Pharmacy. Our team maintains excellent relationships with a number of methodology experts across campus, allowing access to faculty consultation as necessary. Our goal is to escalate the scale and scope of perioperative machine learning research to include issues of perioperative decision and process optimization, and then to extend our collaborations state-wide using infrastructures available via the CTSI and OneFlorida networks.

Minimum Requirement: Ph.D.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data science and/or related software development projects.
  • Comfortable working in Python and associated machine learning libraries.
  • Experience in DevOps or applications of machine learning models preferred.
  • No specific healthcare experience required.
