Job Description Summary
The Instructional Designer/Developer (ID/D) will provide leadership and support to faculty in planning and implementing effective online and hybrid course design, incorporating instructional standards in the development of courses and curricula and in using technology to deliver courses and programs. The ID/D will support faculty and staff in the development of web-based and hybrid courses. The ID/D will assist faculty and staff in the utilization of the College’s learning management system. The ID/D will support course development efforts in all credit and non-credit areas of the college.

- Formal training in instructional design, instructional
technology, adult learning, curriculum development, or a related
field. # Master’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Combination of education and experience in instructional design and development for a total of 6 years. - Minimum of 1 year experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or training in a higher education setting.
- Working experience with Microsoft Office applications, course authoring software, and learning management systems

- Applies instructional design knowledge and application to develop and deliver engaging learning experiences in online and hybrid courses.
- Collaborates with faculty and staff in all phases of course development while ensuring instructional alignment of all course learning elements.
- Develops training curriculum and conducts training for faculty and staff on instructional design, instructional technology, distance learning strategies, learning theories, and student support mechanisms.
- Trains faculty in web-based course delivery.
- Support faculty in the utilization of contemporary teaching/learning systems and technologies.
- Assists faculty in implementing interactive strategies that increase student engagement in the learning process.
- Apply ADDIE principles to meet course goals and/or
training
objectives. - Excellent analytic and evaluation skills
Job Requirements
- Applicant must be available to work Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m.
– 4:30 p.m.
The work schedule subject to change based on the needs of the department. - Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
