ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
Job Title: Adjunct Faculty, Lecturer, Electric Lineworker
Department: WCCC Student Services
Position No. FP1300 Employment Type: Adjunct Faculty, schedule varies based on course needs. Classes may be taught during the day as well as evenings and Saturdays. Salary: Adjunct faculty are paid on a per credit hour basis, commensurate with highest degree held.

SUMMARY:Classes to be taught could include: Fundamentals of Electricity, Electrical Distribution Theory/Lab, Underground Procedures, Job Training and Safety, or other related courses. Journeyman's license preferred. Duties include teaching, curriculum development, assessments, lab/classroom maintenance, student advising. Preference given to those with related industry credentials. Western Colorado Community College, WCCC, is a division of Colorado Mesa University. WCCC offers community education courses and a range of certificate and associate degree programs.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED:
  • A minimum of 4000 hours (approximately 2 years' full time) of related occupational experience within the past 7 years. Degree in related content area desirable but not required
  • Career and Technical Education credential required within six months of employment
